However, before embarking on a career within any industry you must also be aware of the downsides to the job. Therefore, please read and consider the following necessities of becoming a personal trainer:
Long hours – some days can start before 7am and finish around 9pm
Travelling – you may have to travel around to suit each client
Seasonal peaks and troughs – January can be too busy, August can be too quiet
Counselling – some of your clients will need your help to deal with some of their issues on an emotional and psychological level
